1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PLAYONTV application, operated by Cametech Solutions. It covers the app's channel catalogue, channel logos, live streaming connections and communications with our support team.

2. Information you provide

The viewer application does not require account registration, a name, an email address or a phone number to watch channels. If you contact us voluntarily, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your contact details, questions and technical problem descriptions.

Please do not send passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information when reporting a playback problem.

3. Connection and technical information

The app connects to PLAYONTV services to retrieve the channel catalogue, logos and playback addresses. When you watch a channel, the app also connects to the server delivering that channel's stream.

These connections disclose your IP address to the receiving server. Requests may also include technical information such as request time, requested channel or media resource, user-agent information and connection or error details. Hosting and streaming providers may record this information in their operational and security logs.

Requesting channel media can reveal which channel is being accessed to the service receiving the request. Not all channel streams are hosted by PLAYONTV; different channels may use different streaming providers.

4. How information is used

Information handled in connection with the service is used to:

• Deliver channel listings, logos and live video.
• Maintain service availability and troubleshoot playback issues.
• Protect servers against abuse and unauthorised activity.
• Respond to support enquiries.
• Meet applicable legal obligations.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Website hosting providers, network delivery providers and channel streaming providers process connection information as part of delivering the service. When playback connects directly to a channel provider, that provider receives the connection information directly.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the security and legal rights of the service and its users.

6. Advertising and analytics

This version of the PLAYONTV viewer app does not include a separate advertising or analytics SDK added by PLAYONTV. Television streams may contain advertisements or promotional content supplied by the broadcaster.

Channel providers control their own streaming infrastructure and related data handling. Their privacy practices may differ from those of PLAYONTV.

7. Device access and local processing

The viewer app uses an internet connection to load and play channels. It does not request access to your contacts, SMS messages, microphone, camera or precise device location. Channel images and media may be temporarily held in memory or cached by the app, device or playback components while delivering the service.

Keeping the screen awake while the app is visible is a playback feature and does not itself collect personal information.

8. Retention and deletion requests

The viewer app does not create a viewer account or an account profile to delete. Closing or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete records already held by hosting, streaming or support providers.

Operational logs and support communications may be retained according to the applicable provider's retention settings, service needs and legal obligations. Retention periods can differ between providers.

You may contact us to request information about, correction of, or deletion of personal information under our control. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and any necessary identity verification. We cannot directly delete records independently controlled by a broadcaster or third-party streaming provider.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where our hosting, support or streaming providers operate.

10. Children

PLAYONTV is a general live television service and is not specifically designed for children. The app does not ask viewers to submit personal details to watch channels. Parents and guardians should supervise children's access to live television content.

If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

11. Separate website submissions

Channel registration on the PLAYONTV website is separate from watching television in the app. Applicants who submit a channel may provide contact information, logos, authorisation documents and other application materials. These materials are used to review the application, communicate with the applicant and administer authorised channel listings. Supporting identity and authorisation documents are not intended for publication in the viewer app.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date.
